Ashley expected to vote down Debenhams CVA

Sports Direct owner Mike Ashley is expected to vote against Debenhams company voluntary arrangement in the crucial vote later today.

Ashley, who tried to take control of the ailing department store before it went into administration, has been highly critical of the proposed CVA, and will vote against the deal, the Guardian reports.

However, landlords and suppliers are expected to vote through the CVA, which has earmarked 22 stores for closure and a further 105 for rent reductions and lease negotiations.
