Asos appoints COO

Asos has promoted its supply chain director, Mark Holland, to the newly created position of chief operating officer.

Holland, who has worked for Asos for six years, will continue to lead the global trading, customer care and supply chain teams, but will add the management and delivery of Asos’s transformation projects to his responsibilities.

These include the forthcoming launch and automation of its new Atlanta warehouse in the US; the adoption of a new retail planning and merchandising system, Truly Global Retail; further automation at Asos’s Berlin fulfilment centre; and improvements at its London headquarters and its customer care centre in Leavesden, Hertfordshire.

He will continue to report to Asos CEO Nick Beighton.

Beighton said: “Mark’s well-deserved appointment is a reflection of the significant contribution he has made to the business over the last six years and the skills he possesses, which will be invaluable to us as we position ourselves for further growth.”
