Asos has awarded logistics business Norbert Dentressangle a £100m-plus contract that will run over the next three years to fulfil its global deliveries.
Norbert Dentressangle, which counts House of Fraser, Marks & Spencer and Shop Direct among its current customers, will manage Asos’ 1.1m sq ft global fulfillment centre in Barnsley. It took on the role in August, replacing Unipart Logistics. All staff employed by Unipart are being offered the opportunity to transfer over to the new firm.
Although the centre is already the size of six football pitches, Asos has submitted a proposal to extend it by 25%
Mark Holland, Asos’ supply chain director, said: “The partnership with Norbert Dentressangle will continue to drive the Asos global service proposition, creating an efficient customer-focused experience, and supporting our mission to become the world’s number one online destination for young fashion.”
