Asos head of buying leaves for The Shop at Bluebird

Asos’ head of buying Claire Miles is leaving to become head of London luxury boutique The Shop at Bluebird.

Jigsaw Group chief executive Peter Ruis said Miles’ appointment was “the next phase in the strategic plan to establish the Shop at Bluebird as an international multichannel brand, and London’s foremost luxury concept store.”

Miles was providing maternity cover at Asos. She has previously worked as buying director at Internacionale and a senior buying role at New Look.

She will be responsible for supporting the growth of the business across both its retail locations, The King’s Road and the new Mayfair outpost, the 6,000sq ft Duke Street Emporium, as well as the developing online platform,

Miles will work alongside Belle Robinson, founder and creative director of The Shop at Bluebird, to lead the buying team across the brand’s fashion, beauty, lifestyle and home offerings, Ruis said.
