Asos HR director quits

Asos has lost its second director in a week, with HR head Michelle Emmerson stepping down from the etailer.

A spokeswoman for Asos said that Emmerson has left the business to “pursue new opportunities”.

Emmerson, who joined Asos in July 2011, also sat on the senior management board. She was previously head of HR in Britain for EMI Music and head of HR for BBC Worldwide.

Asos chief executive Nick Robertson would like to thank Michelle for her contribution to the business and wish her every success for the future.

The news comes just days after it was revealed that executive director of product and trading Kate Bostock was stepping down, just seven months after joining from Marks & Spencer.
