Asos launches same-day delivery in Birmingham

Asos has announced the arrival of its same-day delivery service Asos Instant in Birmingham, after successful launches in London, Leeds and Manchester.

It is now available to customers with deliveries to select Birmingham, London, Leeds and Manchester postcodes, on orders placed before 12pm, Monday to Friday. The service costs customers £9.95 and parcels are delivered by CitySprint’s On The Dot service, between 6pm and 10pm on the same day. Further availability in other UK cities is expected in the coming months and years.

The young fashion retailer said its approach is to offer customers as much choice as possible, introducing 90 delivery improvements around the world in the last six months. Current UK delivery options include next-day delivery, click and collect, one-hour delivery slots and free returns as standard on all Asos orders.

Asos delivery solutions and returns director Matt Rogers said: “We’re excited to be extending the reach of Asos Instant to Birmingham, following its successful launch in other UK cities. It shows our commitment to exploring delivery options that provide convenience and choice for Asos customers.”

Asos posted a 30% year-on-year sales surge to £790.4m for the four months to 31 December, following “exceptional performance” in a “challenging” UK market. UK sales were up 23% on 2016 to £300m.
