Aspecto teams up with Adidas to unveil Y-3 brand in Manchester

Young fashion independent Aspecto is opening a concept store at the Triangle mall in Manchester, in a collaboration that will create the first UK store for Adidas designer brand Y-3.

The store, called Aspecto and Y-3, will feature a minimalist design, with Y-3 taking the lower ground floor and Aspecto on the ground floor. It will open at the end of July and marks Y-3's UK debut.

Y-3, which launched in 2003, is a tie-up between Adidas and Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto.

"Manchester is a haven for fashion designers and consumers," said Aspecto managing director Mel Pilkington. "The store will offer the hottest brands under one roof, in an environment that is as stylish as the clothes they are buying." The shop will stock brands including G-Star, Nike, Adidas, Stussy and Carhartt.

Aspecto has seven stores in the north of England and Scotland. The new shop will replace its existing store in Manchester's Bridge Street.
