Aspire Style to open fifth store

Lifestyle indie retailer Aspire Style will open its fifth store later this week, and is looking for a further site to open next year.

The retailer, which is run by Emma Woodward and Sam Yair, will open a 1,000 sq ft store on November 29 at 2 Earlsdon Street, in the Earlsdon suburb of Coventry, which is where the pair grew up.

Woodward said the pair are keen to open a sixth store in 2015, with possible locations including Cheltenham and Worcester.

The Earlsdon store will initially focus on a seasonal edit, with a selection of partywear, gifts and novelty Christmas jumpers.

Speaking about the Earlsdon store, Woodward said: “There are a lot of young professionals living there plus it gets a lot of students from Warwick University and Coventry University - so it’s a perfect target market for us.”

The retailer, which was shortlisted for the Lifestyle Retailer of the Year award at the Drapers Independent Awards in September, celebrated its 10-year anniversary in October and has four other stores in Solihull, Warwick, Oxford and Stratford.
