At last!!

The men’s Oscar outfits have stepped up to the mark, with a nod to old-school Hollywood glamour that was so sorely missed from the women’s offer.

Brad Pitt and Daniel Craig were looking hot, dressed in traditional tuxes complete with bow ties. Robert Downey Jr, whose jazzier version of a black tie suit was individual, with its grey collar and pocket panels, but still smart.

Philip Seymour Hoffman shocked the crowds by wearing a beanie hat, maybe he was having a bad hair day? But neck down he was well turned-out, in a black suit with black shirt and tie. However, it was The Wrestler star Mickey Rourke who stole the show for the boys, looking really dapper in a white Gaultier suit with black waistcoat and shoes.
