Australian plus-size retailer gears up for UK expansion

Australian plus-size retailer Taking Shape is plotting UK expansion with plans to open 21 stores by early next year.

Taking Shape, which offers womenswear in sizes 14 to 26, has set its sights on opening stores in locations such as Cardiff, Bristol and Exeter by February 2014. Taking Shape launched in the UK in September and already has 10 stores in areas including Liverpool, Horsham and Kingston.

The retailer targets women aged from 35 to 65 and offers a range of clothing from eveningwear to activewear.

Taking Shape operates over 130 stores across Australia and New Zealand.
