Badgley Mischka buys back brand name from Iconix

Designers Mark Badgley and James Mischka have bought back the rights to the Badgley Mischka trademark from Iconix Brand Group.

The duo teamed up with Titan Industries to buy the trademark for $16m.

Iconix, which owns brands including Lee Cooper and Umbro, owned the brand name for 11 years.

Sports Direct bought an 11.2% stake in Iconix in January. Iconix’s founder and former chief executive Neil Cole abruptly exited the company in August.
