Bally appoints new chief executive

Swiss luxury brand Bally has appointed Frederic de Narp as its new chief executive.

De Narp joins Bally from his position as president and chief executive of luxury jewellery and watch brand Harry Winston, where he led a turnaround of the business.He takes on his new role from November 4.

Prior to joining Harry Winston in 2010, De Narp spent 18 years at Cartier where he held a series of international retail positions in Tokyo, Switzerland, Italy and Greece before moving to New York in 2005 to oversee Cartier North America, as President and chief executive.

Reinhard Mieck, chief executive of Bally’s parent company Labelux, said de Narp’s arrival would make Bally a “brand to watch”.

He added: “We are nearing a successful restructuring, holistic upgrading and repositioning of this fantastic brand and will be ready to roll out the new Bally as early as 2014.”
