Bank to close remaining stores

Struggling young fashion chain Bank will close its remaining nine stores this month.

The retailer, which went into administration on January 5, originally had 84 shops.

Bill Dawson, joint administrator and partner in Deloitte’s restructuring services practice, said: “Unfortunately no purchaser could be found for the business as a going concern, although its intellectual property is still for sale. We would like to thank the company’s employees for their support and professionalism during this difficult period.”

The intellectual property assets of the retailer Bank are still up for sale. Assets include the Bank domain name, trademark protection, customer database and in-house fashion brands including womenswear label Ribbon, ‘rock chick’ brand Heaven Sent, women’s footwear brand Kitsch Couture and streetwear brand Fred & Boston.

Bank’s social media accounts are also for sale.

JD Sports Fashion sold Bank to a subsidiary of Hilco Capital at the end of November last year.
