Heritage brand Barbour has teamed up with British lifestyle brand Emma Bridgewater to launch a capsule collection for autumn 19.

The womenswear collection will comprise 17 outerwear, mid-layers and accessories, and seeks to combine both brands’ focus on functionality, craftsmanship and quality.
Emma Bridgewater is known for its quintessentially British patterns, which feature primarily on ceramics. The collaboration will bring Bridgewater prints to Barbour’s womenswear styles – for example, on the inner lining of the brand’s classic waxed jacket.
Paul Wilkinson, global marketing and communications director at Barbour, noted that the collection was inspired by a “shared love of the countryside”, resulting in a range that is elegant and feminine.
The Barbour is 125 years old in 2019. Drapers spoke to Helen Barbour, the brand’s vice-chairman, as it launched its celebrations at Italian trade show Pitti Uomo earlier this month.
