Barclays Commercial Bank has appointed Jeremy Rance as national director of the retail and wholesale sectors.
Rance replaces Paul Clarke who is to retire in April after 40 years of service at the bank.
Rance, who has been with Barclays for four years, was previously the Eastern regional director for Barclays Commercial Bank with 12,000 mid-corporate clients.
The Barclays retail and wholesale team support retailers with annual turnover of between £1 million and £1 billion with their expansion and growth goals.

Chris Grigg, chief executive of Barclays Commercial Banking paid tribute to Paul Clarke. He said: "I would like to pay tribute to Paul for his dedication to Barclays which has been outstanding over the past 40 years. We wish him all the best in his retirement."
