Barker Shoes relocates London flagship

British footwear brand Barker Shoes has opened a new 550sq ft flagship on London’s Old Broad Street.

The larger concept store is located at 56B Old Broad Street, just metres away from the original at 74/75 Old Broad Street.

It is the fourth Barker Shoes store in London, as well as in Cheapside, Regent Street and Jermyn Street. The brand also has two stores in Moscow.

Ray Willmoth, head of international sales at Barker Shoes, told Drapers:We needed a larger store to showcase our full collections and to keep up with rising demand in the City. We also wanted to provide a better shopping experience and give customers the full Barker experience when visiting stores.

“We are always looking at new markets and new flagship stores. We have also just launched a brand new website, targeting customers in US, Europe and UK.”

Willmoth added: “Sales were up 30% year on year at Pitti Uomo for autumn 19 orders.”

Oliver Nesbitt, Barker Shoes UK sales manager, said: ”We are extremely proud to unveil our new flagship city store on old broad street. The new brand/store concept and colour scheme will provide our customers a much more interesting and relaxing shopping experience.”
