Footwear brand Base London has released a new collection for autumn 16 called XXI to celebrate its 21st anniversary in business, while the firm launches its first franchise stores.
Base London XXI
The XXI range features formal styles including Oxford brogues, derby boots and double monk-strap styles in patent leather with leather soles. Other more causal styles include Chelsea boots and Wallabees- inspired moccasins.
Targeting the brand’s better-end stockists, wholesale prices for XXI start at £38 and range up to £45. Base London’s main collection starts at £29 and goes up to £40.
Meanwhile the brand is embarking on a retail expansion plan, opening its first retail store in Uptown Bonifacio in the Philippines with franchise partner Trinity Chain. It will be followed by a second store in the Philippines later this summer.
The brand is looking into opening more franchise stores in the Far East later this year.
Base London had a shop on London’s Carnaby Street that closed 15 years ago.
The business has 300 accounts in the UK, 275 stockists in France, 125 in Italy and is stocked in some big-name international stockists, including Nordstrom in the US, and Laine Crawford and Harvey Nichols in Hong Kong.
