Base London to launch Gibson London footwear

Base London, the footwear brand, has signed an exclusive European license to design, manufacture and distribute a range of Gibson London footwear.

The Gibson London footwear range will comprise between 10 and 12 styles and will launch for spring 09.

Gibson London is part of the BMB Group.

BMB Group sales and marketing director Kevin Stone said: "We are delighted to be working with Base London on this project, they are the perfect partner for Gibson, they understand our DNA and above all they are product people, they care about design, product and detailing, the very foundations that Gibson London is built on."

Base London managing director Ian Cartwright said: "BMB are a world class operator and that was highly evident to us in what they have done with Gibson London in the last 12 months. They have a very clear vision for all the brands they own and we can help them achieve that vision with the offer of footwear for Gibson London."

Cartwright added: "The Gibson London license fits perfectly with our strategy; since the MBO in 2007 we have embarked on a journey of transforming Base London to be able to attack different levels of the market - Gibson London is a great vehicle for delivering higher end product. Buyers trust Base London from sourcing and quality control, through to delivering on time and an impeccable customer service, The Gibson London license allows us to utilise those skills."
