Bath indie TCS closes

Premium womenswear retailer TCS, which opened in Teddington in 1996 and relocated to Bath in 2015, has closed due to “difficult trading conditions”.

The shop, located on George Street in Bath, was owned by Jules Winstanley and stocked high-end brands including Italian labels Kristensen du Nord and Marsell.

Stock worth more than £150,000 will be sold in an online auction held by Eddisons on May 11.

Kevin McAndrew, director of machinery and business assets at Eddisons, said: “It’s always sad to see a business brought down by financial problems. The clothes, shoes and accessories that are due to go under the hammer represent a really eclectic - and very extensive - collection of high-end brands.”
