Beauty bolsters John Lewis fashion sales

A 9.5% rise in beauty, wellbeing and leisure saw fashion sales at John Lewis rise by 2.3% last week.

In the week ending 3 February, womenswear, menswear and accessories sales at the retailer’s own lifestyle brand, Kin, rose by 53% on 2016.

Total sales for the week were down 0.2% year-on-year as home sales fell by 6.9%.
