Ninous was previously vice president of women’s design at Belstaff and returns from maternity leave today (July 4). During her 18 months with the firm so far, she is credited with creating a fresh interpretation of Belstaff’s womenswear collections, including a design collaboration with actress Liv Tyler, which launches into stores in August.

Her promotion comes as Frederik Dyhr, vice president of menswear, has stepped down from his role to pursue new opportunities.

Ninous will continue to report to Belstaff chief executive Gavin Haig. In her new role, she will be working on the spring 17 presentation for London Fashion Week this September, as well as the development of the autumn 17 collections.

Ninous was previously womenswear design director at Paul & Joe from June 2013 to October 2014, and design director at Comptoir des Cotonniers from February 2010 to June 2013. She was also designer at Diane von Furstenberg from August 2007 to February 2010 and a stylist at Isabel Marant from July 2005 to July 2007.
