Bench raises prices on revamped lines

Bench has overhauled its collections for autumn 14 creating two new lines across menswear and womenswear.

The Life collection focuses on style while the Performance range takes a more sportswear approach, although new technology and fabrics – such as water-repellent finishes on cotton – are being used across both ranges.

The number of pieces in each collection has been reduced by about a quarter and price points have increased by up to a third as a result of introducing higher-quality fabrics.

Wholesale prices now range from £10 for jersey tops to £92 for outerwear, with a 2.5 mark-up.  Bench has 184 UK accounts.

Nick Barber, head of design for men at Bench, said: “Additional features like light reflectivity, multi-pocketing and inner details have been specifically designed to meet the needs of contemporary city dwellers always on the go.”
