Beyond Skin sheds old etail platform

Ethical footwear brand Beyond Skin is revamping its website as part of strategy to refocus on its etail business.

Founders Heather Whittle and Natalie Dean are working with ecommerce specialist Jellywall to overhaul the site, including a new platform that aims to improve its navigation and usability. It is due to launch at the end of May.

Whittle said the company, which started as an ecommerce business, has been seeking an etail expert for some time to bring focus back to the website.

Further to this, the founders are seeking distributors to handle wholesale in the UK and Germany. The brand is already working with Lines of Denmark in the US.

The strategy comes as Beyond Skin restructures its product, introducing more wearable, fl at styles at lower prices.

The approach has been developed with Matt Rock from Pentland Brands, who is mentoring the company over the next year. The mentoring programme is run by the British Footwear Association.
