Designers Michael van der Ham, JW Anderson and Simone Rocha have been awarded Newgen catwalk sponsorship to show at London Fashion Week in September.
The designers, who have been awarded sponsorship from the British Fashion Council (BFC) Newgen programme, will receive financial support towards their show costs.
In addition to the catwalk sponsorship, which is supported by Topshop, Newgen has sponsored Christopher Raeburn, J.JS Lee, Lucas Nascimento, Marques Almeida, Nasir Mazhar and Sister by Sibling to show in the event’s presentation spaces.
Exhibition sponsorship was awarded to Palmer//Harding, Huishan Zhang, Lim Cooper and Sophia Webster.
BFC chief executive Caroline Rush said: “The calibre of design and talent in the UK fashion industry is outstanding and continues to grow from strength to strength.”
She added: “It never ceases to amaze me how fast Newgen winners learn - and how far they can go in such a short time. That accelerated learning process has much to do with designers realising how much is expected of them when they enter Newgen at the bottom rung and about a unique collaborative culture which has grown up between young talents and British industry experts over years.”
Previous Newgen winners include Alexander McQueen, Giles Deacon, Julien Macdonald and Matthew Williamson. .
