BFC calls for New Gen entries

The British Fashion Council is calling for applications to its New Generation support scheme.

The New Generation scheme is sponsored by Topshop and offers financial support for designers to put on a catwalk show during London Fashion Week in September.

The New Generation scheme has helped launch the career of high profile designers such as Alexander McQueen, Matthew Williamson and Gareth Pugh and also offers budding designers business support.

New Generation is open for applications to those who have been in business for up to three years.

Caroline Rush, joint chief executive of the British Fashion Council, said: “New Generation has a reputation for showcasing the world’s most innovative and exciting new talents. The British Fashion Council is now broadening this scheme to provide emerging talent with access to professional business advice.”

For more information regarding applications contact: Katie Bain at the British Fashion Council by e-mail or by phone on 020 7636 7788.
