The British Fashion Council (BFC) has named Josef Jammerbund as head of events while its biggest event of the year - London Fashion Week - is in mid flow.
Jammerbund takes over from Caroline Reader, who is moving out of London, but will continue to work for the BFC on a consultancy basis.
In his role Jammerbund will be tasked with delivering and developing the BFC’s strategic goals and has taken over the leadership of the events portfolio. He joined the BFC senior management team on February 15 and reports directly to chief operating officer Simon Ward.
Prior to joining the BFC Jammerbund worked at Jackie Cooper PR, in the role of event director and was responsible for delivering events for clients including Microsoft, Puma, Diageo, Starbucks, Motorola and Unilever.
Jammerbund said he was “delighted” to be joining the BFC.
He added: “My background is international fashion and luxury brand events. I look forward to using this experience to help strengthen the BFC brand, introducing new creative ideas and being a part of promoting the extraordinary wealth of British design talent across the globe.”
