BFC names Newgen Men winners

Designer labels Christopher Raeburn, Lee Roach, Shaun Samson and Sibling have been awarded Newgen catwalk sponsorship to show at London Collections: Men in January.

The designers, who have been awarded sponsorship from the British Fashion Council (BFC) Newgen Men programme, will receive business support to show at the three day menswear showcase in London along with mentoring support.

Additionally Martine Rose and Matthew Miller have won presentation sponsorship and Bunney and William Richard Green will exhibit at the event next year after winning sponsorship.

This season’s recipients were chosen by a committee of industry figures including Selfridges buyer Adam Kelly, Four Marketing director Ben Banks and Topman design director Gordon Richardson.

Richardson said: “With London Collections: Men proving such a resounding success in June and all eyes on what London has to offer in January, this season’s winners of Newgen Men couldn’t represent a more exciting and diverse taste of what British and moreover London menswear has to offer.”

Previous Newgen winners include Alexander McQueen, Giles Deacon, Julien Macdonald and Matthew Williamsonlanks, Style.com.
