The British Fashion Council has announced the recipients of its menswear talent initiative Newgen Men, who will be supported to show their spring 17 designs at London Collection Men in June.

Seven designers will continue to receive Newgen Men support: Alex Mullins, Bobby Abley, Cottweiler, Craig Green, Diego Vanassibara, Liam Hodges and Pieter. There are also three new designers: Kiko Kostadinov, Phoebe English and Wales Bonner.
As well as showing at LCM, the recipients are given financial support and business mentoring.
Caroline Rush, chief executive of the BFC, said: “London has always been known for its celebration of emerging talent, and Newgen Men is a key part of the innovative identity of London Collections Men. All 10of this season’s designers represent what is so special about British menswear in their own way, and I am eager to see their collections in the spotlight this June.”
Newgen Men was established in September 2009 and has supported designers including Christopher Raeburn, Christopher Shannon, JW Anderson, James Long, Lee Roach, Lou Dalton and Sibling.
