BFC reveals Newgen winners

Designers Marques’Almeida, J JS Lee, Lucas Nascimento, Simone Rocha and Sister by Sibling have been awarded Newgen catwalk sponsorship to show at London Fashion Week.

The British Fashion Council (BFC) has named Nasir Mazhar, Sophia Webster and 1205 as recipients of the presentation sponsorship, while Liam Fahy has received the exhibition sponsorship.

BFC chief executive Caroline Rush said: “It’s with pleasure that we are able to offer this incredibly talented and diverse group of designers Newgen support to help guide their journey towards commercial success both at home and overseas.

“All nine recipients sit at the helm of Britain’s creative success and we look forward to seeing their upcoming collections this September”.

Previous Newgen winners include Alexander McQueen, Matthew Williamson, Giles Deacon, Jonathan Saunders, J.W Anderson, Christopher Kane, Erdem, and Mary Katrantzou.

The winning designers will showcase their spring 14 collections at London Fashion Week which runs September 13-17.
