BHS continues image revamp with new marketing role

BHS is on the hunt for a marketing director as part of continuing efforts to reinvigorate the brand and bolster its fashion credentials.

The Arcadia-owned department store is recruiting for the newly created position following the recent departure of head of marketing Louise Taylor.

The move follows the appointment of marketing agency Joint in September, with a brief to realign BHS’s image as a fashion player.

Arcadia owner Sir Philip Green is considering a range of options to turn the struggling chain around after the retailer fell behind the rest of the otherwise profitable group. In the 12 months to August 2012 it ran at a loss of £71.4 million, denting overall profits at Arcadia.
