BHS deal enters final stages with Tufnell

The race to rescue BHS has reportedly entered the final stages as administrators held further talks with former Burton and Mothercare managing director Greg Tufnell.

BHS has launched a guerilla marketing campaign

Administrators Duff & Phelps held further discussions with Richess Group, a consortium backed by a wealthy Portuguese family and led by Tufnell, on Wednesday (June 1), according to Sky News.

A deal to save the struggling department store is hoped to be announced in the next 24 hours.

If an agreement to acquire the business out of administration cannot be reached by the end of the week, BHS is likely to be handed to liquidators, a move that would threaten more than 11,000 jobs.
