The British Independent Retailers Association (Bira) has launched a rewards scheme to give customers cashback for trying new suppliers.
The Autumn Advantage campaign gives its members £30 or £60 cashback for placing a £300 order with a new supplier from September 1 to December 31 when invoiced through Bira Direct.
Bira Direct is the central buying and invoicing subsidiary company of Bira. It operates for more than 7,500 members of Bira by negotiating improved buying terms, deals, discounts and rebates with a wide range of major suppliers, manufacturers and distributors.
All members of the association are eligible to take part in the scheme, providing they have not been invoiced from their chosen supplier though Bira Direct since July 12.
Paul Woolley, managing director of Bira Direct, said: “By offering a cash incentive we hope to reduce the financial burden of trying a new supplier and bring added value to Bira membership.”
