Birmingham menswear store A Too hits the buffers

Birmingham menswear store A Too has closed after going into liquidation.

Sources close to the retailer, which was based on Ethel Street, said it went into administration a few weeks ago and its website has also ceased trading.

Owner Ming Nham opened A Too in 1998 offering premium streetwear and denim brands including Barbour, Gant Rugger, Wood Wood and Soulland.

Lenny Power, sales manager of Rolling People Showroom, which manages sales for Soulland, told Drapers it has retrieved all of its stock from the retailer.

“We did have stock but we managed to get it back,” he said. “We actually drove up there.”

A spokeswoman for eyewear brand Eye Respect said it was still working to retrieve its stock.

Nham and administrator MB Insolvencies declined to comment.
