John Lewis & Partners has reported the biggest sales week in its history as customers took advantage of its Black Friday deals in store and online.
Total sales were up 7.7% year on year to for the week ending 24 November.
It also reported strong growth in its own brand collections.
John Lewis said sales were less concentrated on Black Friday itself this year, and instead were spread out across the week. However, Black Friday was still the busiest day for shopping.
