Blue Inc finance director Mike Rainer is leaving the young fashion retailer after four years.
Rainer, who joined Blue Inc in September 2010, is looking for new opportunities, Drapers understands.
Ketan Damani has joined Blue Inc as interim finance director. Damani has been a business consultant since September 2013 and previously worked as finance director of luggage retailer Tripp.
Jon Kamaluddin, who was international director at Asos.com from 2009 to 2013 and before that finance director at the etailer for almost five years, has also joined Blue Inc as a consultant to help grow its online and multichannel offering.
The retailer has been strengthening its board over the past year. It appointed Richard Rose, chairman of food wholesale company Booker and online electrical retailer Ao.com, and businessman Lord Leigh of Hurley last April, and Mark Naughton-Rumbo, previously chief executive of Irish womenswear retailer A-wear, in May.
It is understood Rainer, who has had extensive experience with public limited retail companies, joined Blue Inc in part to prepare for an IPO, which was scrapped in June last year. It is expected he will stay within the retail sector.
Rainer was finance director at Mothercare for four years until July 2009. He was also financial planning manager at Marks & Spencer for six years until November 1999.
Blue Inc chief executive Steven Cohen said: “We thank Mike for his effort and support after four years with Blue Inc and wish him well in the future.”
