Blue Inc reshuffles store estate

Blue Inc has closed nine underperforming stores in locations including Bury and Banbury and reopened six stores it closed earlier this year, including in Ellesmere Port, Warrington, Holloway Road and Hull.

It has also relocated three stores in undisclosed locations.

Blue Inc’s trading subsidiary A Levy was put into administration on January 19, resulting in 76 store closures and the loss of an estimated 580 jobs. Blue Inc bought the company back that same day, saving 1,500 jobs across 160 stores.

A company spokesman said: “The relocations and refinements to the store portfolio are in line with our normal course of action. We are trading well.”
