Bluewater shopping centre recorded its busiest day for five years on Monday December 22, as late Christmas shoppers came out in search of bargains.
Bluewater said it had seen 180,000 shoppers come through its doors on Monday. This was on the back of 270,000 visitors over the weekend, which was 10% ahead of the same period last year.
Commenting on the success of Monday, Andrew Parkinson, Bluewater general manager, said: "Despite the current economic climate, Bluewater [on Monday] enjoyed its busiest day for five years.
"It is a testament to the guests’ desires to enjoy themselves this Christmas and Bluewater’s appeal as the ideal location for shopping and a great day out."
