Sales at Bluewater shopping centre rose by 6.6% in September as footfall bounced back in a post-Olympic surge.
Fashion sales jumped by 10%, which were led by a demand for summer clothes due to warmer weather during the month.
Footfall at the Kent-based shopping centre rose by 5.6% during September as sales outperformed the 1.5% like-for-like growth reported by the BRC/KPMG Retail Sales Monitor earlier this week.
General manager Robert Goodman said: “For Bluewater, the Olympic legacy is a reality. Beginning the day after the closing ceremony, Bluewater experienced a very strong seven weeks, leading to an excellent September. On some days last month, it felt like Christmas at Bluewater, which is a sentiment shared by many of our retailers.”
