Boden hires first ecommerce director

Boden has appointed its first ecommerce director, just weeks after hiring its first global brand director.

Sue MacMillan joins the lifestyle retailer on August 13, and will report to global marketing director Mark Binnington.

MacMillan joins from Scottish outdoor specialist Tiso, but has also worked as head of Hobbs’ web strategy and on Marks & Spencer’s digital marketing team.

Boden, which now makes 90% of its sales online, said her new role would focus on driving web performance and enhancing the customer experience through innovation and new technologies.   

Chief executive Julian Granville said: “I’m hugely excited that Sue is joining our senior management team. Online is a fundamental part of our business and will form the backbone of our future growth strategy. We believe Sue’s expertise and experience will be invaluable, enhancing Boden’s digital offering to our customers all over the world.”
