Bold move for Resurrection

Liverpool young fashion independent Resurrection is planning to relocate to a store almost four times its current size.

The business, founded in 1993, first opened in Liverpool’s Quiggins shopping emporium and now trades from a two-floor 3,000sq ft unit on the city’s Bold Street. But Resurrection is planning to relocate to a three-floor, 11,000sq ft store on the same street. Owners Rob and Lisa Pritchard plan to open the new store in October.

The expansion, on top of strong current trading, is expected to take annual sales to £3 million by 2010.

Actor Samuel L Jackson and bands The Zutons and The Coral have all shopped at Resurrection.

Rob Pritchard said of the new store: “It will look much more modern and cutting-edge than our current shop, with loads more space. Menswear and womenswear get a floor each, while the basement will be dedicated to vintage.”

The store sells brands including Ringspun, Fly53, Superdry and Nümph.
