Luxury leather house Bottega Veneta has revamped its website ahead of launching ecommerce in the UK this year.
The site features more products, videos and slide shows showing the collection and information about the brand, according to reports.
Key features of the redesign include improved navigation and search functionality, such as the ability to search by fabric as well as enabling users set up their own profile.
Bottega plans to makes its site transactional in the UK, Japan, and Canada by the end of the year. Italy, France, Germany and China are set to follow in 2011.
Bottega Veneta chief executive officer Marco Bizzari: “The idea behind it was to replicate the kind of impact and service we have in our brick-and-mortar shops.”
The brand will set up a profile on social network Facebook and an archive of videos on video sharing site YouTube later this month. In store it will set up flat screen monitors to show videos.
