Brand Alley appoints former TK Maxx merchandiser as buying director

Discount etailer Brand Alley UK has appointed Caroline Withey as buying director.

Withey, a former TK Maxx divisional merchandise manager for womenswear, took up her post this week and will oversee a team of buyers covering fashion, beauty and homewares. Withey was previously classic womenswear buyer at House of Fraser. She left the department store in February 2007.

Brand Alley UK chief executive Rob Feldmann said: “We are delighted to have Caroline on board. Her breadth of experience, both on and off price, will help ensure we secure the best brands at accessible prices. We look forward to having her as part of the team to help drive the business forward and increase our offering to members.’

BrandAlley.co.uk is a discount driven etail joint venture between News International and BrandAlley France.
