BrandAlley inundated with complaints after IT system failure

Online sales site BrandAlley has been flooded with customer complaints after an IT glitch caused a delay in processing orders.

The fault occurred when the etailer switched to a new online platform in October which allowed the company to launch country-specific websites and faster delivery.

Unhappy shoppers have been airing their concerns on the company’s Facebook page detailing delayed payment of refunds, late delivery and “appalling” customer care from the etailer.

BrandAlley which operates flash Sales of up to 70% off designer brands, has offered the 20,000 customers who have been affected a £25 gift voucher and a personal apology from chief executive Rob Feldmann.

The company has said that the problem has been resolved but it is still processing the backlog of delayed orders.

BrandAlley was unavailable for comment.
