Italian firm Brands Distribution has won a license to produce and distribute branded items for Oxford University.
The first collection will launch for autumn 16, and the deal is set to last for five years.
The range includes T-shirts, polo shirts, shirts, sweatshirts, sweaters, cardigans and jackets. Brands Distribution has exclusive distribution rights in Europe.
Brands Distribution currently offers more than 100 brands to a network of more than 110,000 retailers and dealers. Company president Angelo Muratore said the agreement with Oxford University would “help to give more prestige to our company”.
“If the most prestigious English university chooses a young and innovative company, it means that times are changing,” he added.
