Lingerie and swimwear specialist Bravissimo has revealed plans to tackle the US after expanding rapidly across the UK.
The business, which makes bras for larger cup sizes, launched its first US website in May and is looking to open a debut shop across the pond next year athough exact dates have yet to be decided.
The brand said the shop is likely to be located on the east coast and a further roll out will depend on feedback from shoppers.
A spokeswoman told Drapers: “It’s really early days but we’ve already received lots of enthusiasm from our customers based in the US over email and social media. In terms of which products are proving popular we’ve seen more or less the same reaction to our products as we do in the UK – we’ll be monitoring this over the coming months though.”
Bravissimo was started in 1995 as a mail order company by founder Sarah Tremellen, after she struggled to find attractive lingerie in larger sizes. It currently has 28 stores in the UK.
