Young fashion trade show Bread & Butter got off to a steady start this morning with plenty of buyers braving the elements to get to Berlin.
The show’s location, Templehof Airport, which was open to the elements last season, has been closed up with a fabric wall and, despite freezing temperatures outside, the fair is bustling today with early-bird buyers and enthusiastic exhibitors.
Henleys creative director Simon Peters said: “The show is going to be really fantastic and the best retailers will be out here. It’s a fantastic location and at 200 sq m this is our biggest stand to date.”
Trends seen so far at the show include drop-crotch and harem denim silhouettes, light-washed and distressed denim finishes, checked shirts, chunky knits and sweats.
Bread & Butter runs from today until Friday. For a full trend report from the show, see Drapers January 30 issue.
