Bread & Butter scraps plans for public days

Bread & Butter Berlin has cancelled its planned public days, saying the July 8-10 edition will be open solely to trade professionals.

The exhibition’s plan to extend the show with two days open to the public was announced last December.

The U-turn comes after exhibitors voiced concerns over additional costs, logistics and organisational challenges.

BBB founder Karl-Heinz Müller said: “It remains our aim to offer our exhibitors and the specialist retailer an ideal, contemporary platform for communication and business. Especially following the very successful January event, we are reassured to continue our previous path focused and undeterred.

“Therefore, we meet the wishes of the majority of our exhibiting brands and specialist retailers: the planned public days are cancelled, Bread & Butter – tradeshow for selected brands remains a professional tradeshow, for industry professionals only.”
