Troubled trade show Bread & Butter will return to its usual location at Berlin Tempelhof from July 2 to 4, 2015.
The spring 16 show will take place earlier than usual and on different weekdays: Thursday to Sunday. The exhibition price will be lower per square metre, there will be a “design and agents” area for distribution agencies and there will be a consumer area.
During the Berlin shows this week, Bread & Butter held a small show at its head office on Münzstrasse. Back to the Streetfeatured 45 brands, most of which sell to B&B founder Karl-Heinz Müller’s own Berlin retail stores, 14oz.
Müller said he was encouraged by the positive feedback about the event. “Despite all turbulences, we were confronted with a wave of sympathy.”
Christian Graf Brockdorff, B&B’s insolvency administrator, said the Tempelhof location is still at the show’s disposal as it is protected under the insolvency.
“The renting contract with Tempelhof is still valid. A cancellation by the landlord is currently not possible due to the protection measures of the insolvency enactment. Bread & Butter still has the grounds on disposal on a long term,” he added.
Brockdorff said B&B has already raised the funds necessary for the event through investors.
