Brioni chief executive steps down

Andrea Perrone has resigned as chief executive of Italian luxury menswear brand Brioni.

Brioni, which is know for its classic three-piece suits and tuxedos, will be run by general manager Antonio Bianchini, who will cover Perrone’s role until a new chief executive is appointed.

Perrone, who is the grandson of Brioni co-founder Gaetano Savini, became the sole chief executive last year having previously shared the role with Antonella De Simone, the granddaughter of co-founder Nazareno Fonticoli.

The reasons behind Perrone’s departure are unclear.
