Justin O’Shea has left the position of creative director at Italian menswear brand Brioni after just one season.

The former director of fashion for mytheresa.com was only appointed to the role in March. No reason was given by the Kering-owned company for O’Shea’s departure, which was announced via a press release.

O’Shea presented his first collection for the brand in Paris in July, and was initially brought in to Brioni as part of a restructuring for the brand. Brioni also announced that its autumn 17 collection will not be showing, but will be presented at its Milan showroom.

O’Shea’s initial appointment at the brand was controversial, as he had no previous design experience before taking on the role.
